The barely repeated patterns leave room for the unique creativity of each artisan. A little history

After Christopher Columbus arrived in America, he noticed that many natives were accustomed to using hammocks in their daily lives. When he returned to Europe, he imported many of them, thus popularizing them in the Old World.

In fact, the first to adopt them (in numbers) were British and Spanish sailors, who used them to sleep on board ships. Hammocks were prized for their coolness and comfort, but what made them truly unique was their ability to swing gently in time with the ship's movements, preventing falls. “You can't buy love but you can buy something handmade”
